Paintings
Ediface 1, Acrylic on canvas, 18"x"24
Ediface 2, Acrylic on canvas, 16"x20"
Ediface 3, Acrylic on canvas, 12"x12"
This a recent series of paintings I've been working on exploring architectural forms. These constructions are formidable with their blank facades and yet they give just enough purchase to be explored. Is there an entrance? Can you climb to the top? We relate to architecture by comparing our own bodies to these man-made structures and it's the physical reaction as opposed to an intellectual one that intrigues me.

Land Art
I recently took a class exploring Land and Environmental Art and was so inspired by the work done using materials found in wild places. This is a composition I arranged on the beach while walking on Chestermans Bay in Tofino, BC. It is really one of the most beautiful spots on the island and it's wide open spaces have a powerful affect on the psyche.

Marking Time
I often post my photography on various social media sites but as it's time to update to my blog, I thought I'd add some here as well. While it may be morbid to take pictures of dead things in a way it is also exactly why we are all so snap-happy - to stop time. These things in front of the lens are transient and one day the photo may be the only physical evidence of their (our) existence.
